Welcome

Picture

The Southeastern United States is the inspiration for the work of Jim Draper. He was born in Mississippi, spent his colegiate years at the University of Georgia, lived in coastal South Carolina, spent most of his productive years in Florida and now splits time between Florida and North Carolina.

His primary medium is making paintings using a variety of media. The works range from large-scale oil and acrylic paintings on canvas to small multi-media works on paper. He also works in a variety of print media, photography and experimental video.

Beginning in 2014 Draper started exploring writing as a medium. He currently spends a significant part of his studio time crafting word images.
